Overview
The adoption coordinator role is responsible for facilitating the overall process of adoptions, and implementing best practices and match making skills to find forever homes. Must haves? A FIRE IN YOUR HEART FOR RESCUE - truly, this is the only thing that will motivate you to volunteer after a long and tiring day of work!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Facilitate the overall onboard process of new adopters via interviews, virtual home checks and references
Respond to non-urgent emails within 12 hours, and emergency situations immediately. If unable to respond in emergency situation, coordinate with other team members to ensure coverage
Ensure database is up-to-date and accurate at all times and perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Uphold the rescues values during interactions with the public and other staff at all times
Required Skills
MUST BE RELIABLE AND COMMITTED!
Rescue or foster experience required
Basic knowledge of dog behaviour/etiquette and positive reinforcement training required
Pro- real food feeding knowledge or willingness to learn is required
Must be computer savvy (some experience with google sheets/docs, email, Microsoft office etc.)
Time Management and detail oriented
Problem Solving Skills (ability to go off script)
Excellent communication skills and an outgoing and friendly personality
Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team
Must have a passion for rescue and a “can do” attitude!
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once and work in a fast paced environment
The ability to remain positive and calm even in stressful situations
Ability to handle potentially difficult or awkward conversations and ask appropriate questions to gather information
Time Commitment:
This is a core position and as such it requires a 5 hr commitment per week which can be condensed over 3 days or spread out over 7- it all depends on the demand of the dogs in care!

Overview:
Fostering saves lives, but behind every successful foster story, is an incredible foster coordinator who helped them every step of the way. As an FC, you’ll need to be flexible as your role can be anything from supporting with transitional challenges to more serious and stressful situations. Must haves? A FIRE IN YOUR HEART FOR RESCUE - truly, this is the only thing that will motivate you to volunteer after a long and tiring day of work!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Serve as primary contact for assigned foster families and follow up regularly to provide support where necessary
Support adoption team by coordinating attendance of dogs at adoption events, ensuring completion of foster bios, and helping to coordinate photoshoots for the foster dog if needed
Working closely with our supplies coordinator
Ensure foster families are well versed in and comply with our foster program policies. i.e. rescue rules, lost dog prevention etc.
Respond to non-urgent emails within 12 hours, and emergencies situations immediately. If unable to respond in emergency situation, coordinate with other team members to ensure coverage

Support intake team with placement of foster dogs into appropriate homes when needed
Support vet team with coordinating avail dates to book appointments
Ensure database is up-to-date and accurate at all times and perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Uphold the rescues values during interactions with the public and other staff at all times
Required Skills:
Dog experience a must! Basic knowledge of dog behavior/training preferred. Must be positive reinforcement based
Willingness to learn/research on an as needed basis
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrate empathy for foster families and compassion for the foster dogs
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once and work in a fast paced environment
The ability to remain positive and calm even in stressful situations
A dynamic personality and a passion for rescue!
Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
A team player attitude
Ability to handle potentially difficult or awkward conversations and ask appropriate questions to gather information
Must be computer literate; Google sheets, Google docs, Gmail, data entry etc.

Role Overview:
Work with the PMR team to safely transport supplies from their location to their respective foster homes throughout the GTA. The largest transport need will be for supplies.
Requirements:
A vehicle and a full G license
Ability to lift 50lbs
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team
Punctual and responsible
Can commit to 1 transport per week (within the GTA) around your schedule

Overview:
We're looking for a social media savvy volunteer who has a passion to help with everything social media related from designing graphics, engaging with our amazing community to creating insta worthy videos.
Requirements:
Creating stories or posts using Canva
Searching through photos and videos to use for posts
Researching information to inspire posts
Dog experience to make educational posts
Follower engagement and managing the inbox utilizing experience & understanding of PMR values & services to help formulate responses
Interest & skills making reels and/or compilation videos
Accessible on short notices as well as available for regular social media check-ins
Specific skills using Facebook "pages" to help with FB advancing
Ability to help track insights & strategize for advanced postings & campaigns
Time Commitment:
3-4 hours per week with availability to post Monday – Sunday.
We ask that only those who can make a serious commitment to volunteering with Peanut Mutter Rescue apply for this role. Ideally, this volunteer will stay on for 6 months or longer, and we are hoping to find someone who may end up taking a lead role in our media space.
